Peter Healy is a senior partner in the international law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Global Co-Chair of the Corporate Finance/Capital Markets Practice, and a member of the Firm’s Governing Board, its Lead Director and the Chair of its Audit Committee.
Peter has extensive domestic and international experience representing companies and underwriters in public and private debt and equity offerings. Peter also has extensive experience in fund formation, private equity and M&A (including cross-border and going private transactions), hedge fund activities, and recapitalization and restructuring transactions. Peter advises boards of directors, independent committees and buy-out funds in connection with various capital markets and M&A strategies and transactions. Peter is a frequent lecturer on various securities law, corporate governance and M&A topics, including cross-border M&A and going private transaction topics.
Chambers USA has recognized Peter as an “all-around great attorney” and has credited him with building up the Firm’s Capital Markets practice worldwide. International Who's Who of Business Lawyers has also recently recognized Peter as a leading Capital Markets and Securities lawyer.
