Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency (CAAP)

Our program is designed to help individuals without an accounting background gain all of the skills they need to shift into an accounting career. The CAAP curriculum is comprised of eight undergraduate-level courses that can be taken in our condensed weekend program format. Our professional development workshops and networking events will help you through the recruiting process so you can start your accounting career right after graduation.

“I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Economics, but soon after, I realized I wanted to pursue more education in accounting. The CAAP program provided me the opportunity to engage in coursework that would equip me with the skills for a career as an accountant. Even though the summer program is very fast-paced, it is very thorough. The professors are incredible and care about the success of their students. Another great part of CAAP is the career support the program provides in the form of resume workshops and career fairs. I’m so grateful for CAAP and the doors it has opened for me; I wouldn’t have the career and life I have today without it. ”
