The Center for Food Innovation and Entrepreneurship is home to a wide variety of opportunities to learn and study cultures abroad. From trips to places such as Rwanda, Myanmar and Cuba, Santa Clara students have enjoyed incomparable experiences that have influenced their college experiences, vocations and avocations. Each year, CFIE takes a group of twelve students and two or three faculty leaders to a developing country. A one unit preparation course precedes the trip and a two-unit reflection course completes the experience. The program fee for this trip is $1100. Students are also responsible for the cost of the airfare up to but not to exceed $1000. The total cost for the program will not exceed $2100. Need-based financial aid is available.
