Thaddeus John Whalen, Jr.
Thaddeus John Whalen, Jr. is an emeritus faculty in the economics department. While at the Leavey School of Business, he taught principles of economics, analysis of economic conditions, business cycle forecasts and industrial organization. His main research interest is in the field of industrial organization and his publications have appeared in the Journal of Political Economy and the Journal of Law and Economics. Active in civic and community affairs, Whalen was one of the founders of the Bank of Santa Clara and served on its Board of Directors.
