Welcome to Prague! 

  • Students are responsible for their own transportation from the airport to the hotel
  • Check in to your hotel
  • Meet your group and guide in the hotel lobby and depart on foot for a Walking Tour of Prague 

Prague Old Town Walking Tour   

The city of a hundred spires, so called “The Golden City”. This nickname refers to the  Sandstone towers that shimmer in the sunlight in gold tones. Another explanation is that the Emperor Charles IV had the towers of the Prague Castle gilded. During the tour through Old Town, you will discover the cultural highlights of the city: The Old Town Square with the astronomical clock, churches, town hall, and Power Tower. Each house it’s unique story (no entrances included) 

  • Following the walking tour, taste the local cuisine with a Welcome Dinner at Cerveny Jelen (3 course meal including coffee and 2 drinks of choice – beer, wine or soft drink)
  • After dinner, return to your hotel on foot

Doing Business in the Czech Republic: Trends, Opportunities and Challenges

A typical company visit is a 90-minute to 2-hour session with a member of leadership including a presentation, discussion, Q&A session, and facility tour (when feasible).  Speakers and companies are selected based on your academic goals, course objectives,  and delegation level, in order to curate the best student experience with industry experts.  Formats vary by organization and range from formal boardroom discussions to candid conversations in a collaborative space.  

Note: Themes for company visits are presented here as examples, and will be developed in collaboration with your university.  

  • Free time for lunch on own 
  • After lunch, continue to your next visit 

Marketing Strategies in the Czech Republic: Adapting Global Brands to Local  Consumers 

  • Return to your hotel  
  • Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and depart for your Group Dinner (round trip coach transportation provided)
  • Dinner at Manes (3 course meal including coffee and 2 drinks of choice – beer, wine or soft drink)
  • Return to your hotel. Remainder of evening at your leisure.

  • Enjoy lunch as a group at a Café Louvre (3 course meal including coffee and 1 soft  drink) 
  • After lunch, continue to your next visit

  • Return to your hotel.  
  • In the evening, meet your guide and depart for a Cooking Class (round trip coach transportation provided). *based on a min of 20 participants  
  • Return to your hotel. Remainder of evening at your leisure.

Financial Trends and Investment Opportunities in Central Europe

  • Continue to afternoon cultural activity with stop en-route for lunch as a group at Vinohradsky Pavilon (3 course meal including coffee and 1 soft drink)
  • Return to hotel and take public transportation (roundtrip pass included) for your  afternoon cultural activity with your guide 

The Prague Castle Tour  

Golden Lane is probably the most romantic place at Prague Castle. Famous writer Franz  Kafka spent some time in the house no. 22. The small houses were originally constructed in the 16th century for the castle guards of King Rudolph II. At the time the street was known as archery lane. It was later renamed “golden lane” for the goldsmiths who moved into the houses in the 17th century and who gave the street its captivating name.  Following your castle tour, continue on to Old Town Bridge, 

The Old Town Bridge Tower is is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in  Europe. It is located in Prague 1, in the Old Town, on the Křižovnické Square, on the right bank entrance to the Charles Bridge on the Royal Route. It is a Gothic tower built together with Petr Parler Bridge. The tower was built not only as a fortification, but also represents the type of the victorious arc. Charles IV. he set the route of the coronation processions of his followers, which led over the new Gothic bridge.

  • Return to your hotel via public transportation and experience the city on your own for  dinner

Jewish Quarter 

The Quarter belongs to one of Prague's earliest Gothic structures and the spiritual heart of the Jewish Town is the Old-new Synagogue built in the 13th century. The Old Jewish Cemetery has the earliest tombstone dating from 1439. 

The Jewish Town of Prague is a place which is connected with a thousands of legends and beautiful stories. You will have the possibility to see the large Jewish Ghetto with its cemetery which covers over 12000 grave stones, Maisel Synagogue, the Pinkas Synagogue and Klaus Synagogue

  • Return to your hotel
  • In the evening, meet your guide in the lobby and depart via coach for your Farewell Dinner at Food Lab (3 course meal including coffee and 2 drinks of choice – beer, wine or soft drink) 
  • Return to hotel via coach. Remainder of evening on your own.  
  • Spend your morning free exploring Prague
