About Us:
Gold Status Recipient by Net Impact Central!
Net Impact strives to inspire and equip emerging leaders to build a more just and sustainable world. There are 400+ chapters in nearly 40 countries that reach tens of thousands of individuals and make an impact on some of the most pressing issues of our time.
We are the graduate Net Impact Chapter at Santa Clara University and our goal is to bring positive change to the world’s most pressing challenges with the help of SCU’s students. Our club runs programs, campaigns, and events that provide students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, generate new experiences, and establish a network of allies in other universities and companies to facilitate a lifetime of impact.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to connect students with leaders of the sustainability industry, expose students to innovative ideas from scholars in the field, and to foster these relationships so that students develop a strong network. With these resources, skills, and connections students will be ready to make an impact on the challenging issues of the real world.
Our activities can be divided into the following major areas:
- Hosting guest speakers from related industries and research programs
- Visiting facilities and manufacturing companies
- Providing links to related firms and professionals
- Sponsoring and supporting students in nationwide competitions in related fields (e.g. sustainable food industry)
Our Vision
Our Clubs vision is to create a platform for SCU graduate students to explore real-world challenges, to learn how to drive measurable change from industry leaders, and to network with like-minded peers and professionals.
