When was the first time you became interested in the industry you're in?
I became interested in business and, specifically, marketing after working for a startup where I had to play a large role in the marketing activities. At that point I had no previous experience and no interest in Marketing.
Why did you choose SCU to further your education?
Santa Clara provides so many networking opportunities that I wanted to have access to.
How has your perspective on business changed as a result of furthering your education?
I've come to learn that soft skills are sometimes more important to have than technical skills.
How do you think things will change for you once you've completed your degree?
I'll have a much better understanding of the different concepts that constitute a business.
What drew you to participating on this council?
I wanted to participate in a forum that helps my fellow classmates voice their concerns and opinions.
What are you hoping to accomplish through this student council?
I hope to be able to implement ideas that will help improve the experience of this graduate program.
What do your best days usually include?
My best days are when I feel like I get a lot of things done. Those days usually include going to the gym, work, school, getting homework done, and, after all that, still having time and energy to have a beer with some friends.
What business person, living or dead, do you admire most and why?
I really admire Elon Musk. I think that, besides being incredibly intelligent, he has a genuine passion for entrepreneurship and taking technology to the next step.
