Vice President of Conference
Tamara is an evening MBA student at Santa Clara University concentrating in Marketing, with plans to graduate in June of 2017. She came to Santa Clara to best prepare herself to shift careers, leaving her background in analytical chemistry and time in the laboratory behind for a career in marketing. She graduated from UC San Diego in 2011 with a degree in Environmental Science focusing in chemistry, and then worked for four years at Solazyme, Inc., now TerraVia, as an analytical chemist analyzing algal oil. Tamara found that with the emerging focus on data-driven marketing and reporting, her background in data paired well with her education in marketing at Santa Clara. She now works at Jive Software performing and providing data analysis, data visualization and storytelling to help the marketing department make well-founded, data-backed decisions. In her free time Tamara enjoys volunteering, and is especially passionate about the ARC San Francisco, an organization helping further the career, education and livelihood of adults living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Additionally, Tamara loves to spend time with friends and family and is continually adventuring in the outdoors whether dirt biking, snow skiing or hiking with her fiancee and two hound dogs.
