Global Fellows Joins Management
Global Fellows
This year, the Management Department became the academic home for the Global Fellows Program. The program is led by SCU alumna, Professor Tanya Monsef Bunger ’86. The Global Fellows Program fosters global citizens of competence, conscience, and compassion through an emphasis on service, academics, and leadership. Funding from the Leavey School of Business and a generous donor enabled 30 SCU students to intern with 12 organizations in six countries. The organizations included AHA Bolivia a fair trade and ethical manufacturer of high quality knitwear, handbags, and toys, Bright Generation that serves underprivileged children, youth and women in the rural areas of Ghana through social enterprise and education, and the Indonesia Institute of Energy & Economics that works to improve national policies and the utilization of energy resources.
