Dennis Moberg
Dennis Moberg (DBA, USC) is an emeritus professor in the management department. While at the Leavey School of Business he held the Gerald and Bonita Wilkinson Chair of Management and Ethics. His research focused on business ethics, most particularly the behavioral manifestations of virtues in business. He taught undergraduate courses in organizational behavior and a graduate course in organizational politics.
Professor Moberg was President of the Society for Business Ethics from 2004-06. His Presidential address entitled, “Practical Wisdom and Business Ethics,” was delivered in August, 2006 at the Society’s meeting in Atlanta. Moberg served on the editorial board of Business Ethics Quarterly.
Dennis served Santa Clara in an array of administrative positions including Department Chair, Associate Dean, and as Director of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. Most recently, he served two years as Interim Executive Director of the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education where he helped execute the merger between the Bannan and Arrupe Centers. During his tenure, the Ignatian Center received a million dollar grant from the Lilly Endowment.
