The Retail Studies Program

The Retail Studies Program minor provides undergraduates in Business, Arts, Sciences, and Engineering with the necessary skills, knowledge, and contacts to launch a successful career in the Retail Industry.

Our nationally recognized faculty and staff leverage strong relationships with retail industry leaders to provide you up-to-date curriculum, scholarships, and an extensive support network, to help you find internships and jobs after graduation. The Retail Studies Program has developed hundreds of graduates into the current and future leaders of the retailing industry in such fields as buying & planning, e-commerce, and sustainable business practices.

    Internships

    The Retail Studies internship program provide the opportunity for students to put classroom theory into practice in a real world retail experience. The internship is ten weeks, full time and generally takes place the summer between a student's junior and senior year.

    Industry Executives

    The Retail Management Institute has an extensive network of executive contacts and an active advisory board to help provide students with mentoring opportunities, corporate company tours and on-campus guest lecturers.

    Curriculum

    The main objective of the Retail Studies minor is to provide students with the qualifications and practical knowledge to enter the exciting and dynamic industry in such fields as buying & planning, e-commerce, store management, sustainable business practices, global sourcing and supply chain management.

  • Scholarships

    Scholarships

    The Retail Management Institute can provide financial scholarships as well as a travel scholarship (Jill Curran Retail Studies Scholarship) to the annual National Retail Federation Convention and Expo held in New York City.
