Internship description: ASILA’s goal is to secure long-term permanent income streams for women-led cooperatives and businesses across Morocco and continue the tradition of high-end handcrafting. At ASILA Luxury, fellows will find themselves tackling a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to, photographing, filming, and documenting the stores and ambitions of the co-operatives supported by the ASILA social enterprise, strengthening the asilashop.com website and increasing the company’s ecommerce conversion ratio through a number of different tasks as well as working with ASILA’s social media platforms. Fellows will also be expected to travel outside of Marrakech to immerse themselves in the lives of the ASILA women and their respective co-operatives: sharing meals, living, and working alongside the women themselves.

Required skills: Fellows should have strong communication and writing skills, as well as an ability to interpret emotion and create emotional connections across extreme language barriers. Fellows should also be flexible when traveling, passionate about working with women, and self-driven/self-starting individuals.
