This summer Agatha worked as a Corporate Sales Intern at Palo Alto Networks, a multinational cybersecurity company headquartered in Santa Clara. Some of her responsibilities included marketing the company’s products via telephone and email, searching for target accounts using tools such as LinkedIn, Discover.org, and zoom.info, documenting consumer interactions in Salesforce.com and Outreach, and setting Pre-Qualified Lead (PQL) appointments for Inside Sales Representatives. Agatha also performed corporate pitches for various Palo Alto Network products and created a consolidated competitive analysis document for her manager.
As someone who always strives to go above and beyond, Agatha took the same approach to her internship experience. She scheduled 45 one-on-one meetings with teammates within and outside of her department in just over three months. “I even wrote a majority of them handwritten thank you cards which ended up being a big hit and very impactful gesture in their eyes!” she added. Furthermore, one of the things she was most proud of was her help in initiating a large deal with the California Department of Water that the company had been working on for some time.
