News from the ACE Leadership Program
We are excited to usher in Spring Quarter for the ACE Program. In addition to sunny weather and longer days, Spring quarter in ACE brings several opportunities to connect with your cohorts, ACE Alumni and our new ACE 2020 cohort. First-year applications to join ACE are due on April 10, so please remind eligible students to submit their completed applications by the deadline. Interested prospective students may also join us for an ACE Information Session on Thursday, April 6 at 5:45pm. You are also welcome to join us that evening and share your ACE experience with first-years. Hope you have a great start to your Spring Quarter.

| ACE Students Visit LinkedIn
On March 2nd, nine of our ACE sophomores and juniors visited LinkedIn’s campus as part of a new initiative, ACE Silicon Valley Field Trips. Cassie Braun, a Senior Financial Analyst at LinkedIn and member of the ACE 2011 cohort, generously hosted the students, touring them through the campus and providing an overview of the culture of the company and her role. Students were given personalized InMaps, which are visual representations of an individual’s LinkedIn network, a great tool to better understand how LinkedIn works to keep people connected. The ACErs who went on the Field Trip loved the experience. As sophomore Connor Ohira says, “I really enjoyed hearing about Cassie's experiences, and her journey to LinkedIn. It's always really cool to hear someone speak when you know they enjoy what they are doing.” Another ACE student recalls that “Our host had a lot of great insight to share - she made her time at work seem enjoyable and was realistic about what newly graduated students should anticipate upon entering the workforce.” After attending our first-ever ACE Field Trip, all of the students said that they would recommend the experience to others. Sophomore Eoin Lyons was especially enthusiastic, stating that “This trip was a phenomenal look at the tech world by a recent alum, and Cassie was able to share so much about her own experiences, both during and after SCU, and how they have shaped her professionally and personally.” We would like to thank Cassie for taking the time to show students around. If you missed the LinkedIn tour, be on the lookout for more ACE Silicon Valley Field Trip opportunities in spring quarter. |

Thomas Harrison, a member of the ACE 2015 cohort, is currently the Head of Operations at Whatsgoodly, a digital app company located in Menlo Park. Since Whatsgoodly is an early stage startup, Thomas does a little bit of everything, including content creation and propagation, marketing and growth campaigns, user data and analytics, and client account management. Thomas and other employees of Whatsgoodly will be at Santa Clara University’s Startup Expo on April 5th, so we asked him to share some professional advice for ACE students.
