News from the ACE Leadership Program
Happy Valentine’s Month from the ACE Leadership Program! We hope February brings you opportunities to move beyond midterms and explore more of your interests. In this newsletter you will find an update from an ACE alum who is carving his own path in the community and notes about ways we will facilitate some connections for you off-campus. In the next weeks, we will be reaching out to you about our recruitment phase of the ACE experience. Stay tuned for more information on our efforts to identify the next terrific class of ACErs.

ACE Company Field Trip Opportunities in Winter and Spring
We are excited to announce that ACE will be having more company field trips in the near future! Our main field trip for Winter will be in March to Intuitive Surgical, a company with headquarters in Sunnyvale that designs and manufactures surgical robots. During this experience, students will be able to see the Da Vinci surgical system, which allows medical experts to perform minimally invasive surgery using a simple console. The robot has an enhanced “3D HD” vision system, along with instruments that can bend and rotate farther than human joints. If you are interested in seeing these innovative robots and learning more about careers at IS, be sure to sign up for the Field Trip to Intuitive Surgical. In addition, we are hoping to set up another information session at Apple for students who are interested in the Financial Development Program. If any of these experiences appeal to you, be on the lookout for more details on our ACE Field Trips for this year!

ACE Etiquette Event: Shake hands while balancing a plate, a cup and a book!
The Etiquette event will soon be upon us. Are you prepared? Here are a few questions to test your knowledge.
- Do you know how to enter a conversation that is already in progress?
- How do you shake hands while holding a water glass and an appetizer at the same time?
- Should you eat while you are networking?
- When you speak, where should you put your glass? On your plate or on the table?
The Etiquette Event is on February 13. Come prepared and see you there!
