News from the ACE Leadership Program
As our summer comes to a close, we look forward to your return to campus and are busy putting the final touches on your upcoming ACE experience. During the summer we enjoyed spending time with our seniors as they completed their summer internships at a host of Silicon Valley (and beyond) companies. In July and August we hosted internship dinners to learn more about student experiences and discuss internship progress. Joined by Moira Kolinsinski from the Career Center, we had lively and fruitful discussions. At a forthcoming internship panel, you will be able to learn more about our seniors’ experiences.
Come by and say hello as you return to campus. We will be thrilled to see everyone back on September 18 - and for those of you abroad, have safe adventures.

Preparing for Fall Career Fairs
The Fall Career Fair is happening in Week 2 of Fall quarter. For those of you looking for full time opportunities after graduation or internships, do not miss this important event. The Fall Career Fair usually includes the most employer participants for the year. To prepare, log on to Handshake to review the employers registered for the fair. You can learn more about the companies and the various open positions. Do your research ahead of time so you can have an educated conversation with the company representatives. To avoid feeling overwhelmed, make a list of the companies you absolutely want to talk to and prioritize your approach. And remember our advice, never start your conversation with “what does your company do?” as that shows a lack of preparation on your part. Instead, share something you have learned about the company or that excites you about the potential employment opportunity.
