ACE Program

Every summer, rising seniors are required to complete an internship as part of the ACE curriculum. This year, the ACE 2018 cohort worked in many different companies, industries, and locations around the US. Two students had unique experiences. Isobel Tolles, a Marketing and Art History double major, interned at Marsh’s San Francisco office. There, her main task was to examine financial and legal documents in order to create risk profiles for her company’s clients. In particular, one of her favorite memories was working with other interns to present a risk analysis to the US Olympic Committee about the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.Isobel enjoyed her internship immensely and has accepted an offer to start working at Marsh’s New York headquarters next year.

Dillon Foehr, a Finance major, worked as a Treasury Intern on Charles Schwab’s Securities Lending team in San Francisco this past summer. During his internship, he worked on several projects including portfolio analysis using Bloomberg, analysis of financial and trading data, and modeling of cost scenarios for potential projects. Dillon says that he especially enjoyed meeting several executives of Charles Schwab, including the CEO, CFO, and CMO, to hear about their career paths and suggestions for ambitious college students. Dillon says that his experience at Charles Schwab was interesting and rewarding, and speaking with the firm’s professionals left a lasting impact on his experience.

Congratulations again to all of our ACE seniors on successfully completing their summer internships!
