This summer three ACE juniors who were selected as Global Fellows spent several weeks learning and working with an international organization. Evan Chen and Eoin Lyons traveled to Hyderabad, India to work with Franklin Templeton. Evan shares, “The highlight of my Global Fellows experience was getting to authentically immerse myself in a culture that is very different from the US. Not only was I able to partake in local celebrations and festivities, but I was also able to experience a developing country from an American perspective. This allowed me to recognize the privileges of being an American resident and figure out how to use my abilities to best serve the citizens of India.”

Melanie Vezjak traveled to The Gambia to work with Starfish International on empowering girls through education.  She shares, “ I have learned more about cultural exchange during those two months in The Gambia, than in the last five years. I've met some of the most inspiring people and, with their guidance, my perception of service and global engagement has expanded dramatically.”
