What are you doing this summer? This summer, my plans changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On top of completing a virtual internship experience with KPMG, I was fortunate enough to do a fellowship with the San Francisco Human Rights Commission and the Office of the Mayor as part of their Opportunities for All initiative. In this capacity, I was able to design a curriculum-based internship program on the topic of culinary and hospitality for a group of twenty youth interns aged 12-19.

What has been the most memorable part of your experience? It was so rewarding to see my students grow as young professionals and enable them with the right skill set to be successful in their future endeavors. It was also very impactful especially this summer with all that is going on in our world. We took the necessary time to discuss and offer support to one another during this very uncertain, difficult, and transformative time for all.
