What are you doing this summer? I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work at Amazon as a financial analyst intern over the summer. I work within the Amazon Devices business (think Alexa, Ring, Kindle) on the financial planning and analysis team. This summer, I worked to create an organization wide mechanism to track various metrics and tie them to our financial reports that are sent to senior leadership.

 

What has been the most memorable part of your experience? During the first week of my internship a finance summit was held. More than 300 people flew in from across the country and the world to meet with their colleagues, learn from different finance teams, and connect with senior leaders. It was an incredibly valuable experience as I was able to quickly absorb information, meet new people, and ask a lot of questions.
