An artist and art instructor for 40 years at Sacramento State University, Jack Ogden’s work has influenced generations of Bay Area artists. Ogden is part of the internationally recognized Bay Area Figurative movement, which emerged in the greater San Francisco area in the 1950s and 1960s in response to abstract expressionism, then very much in vogue. Ogden’s work will provide historical insight into, and context for, this history of US painting.

This event is free and open to the public.
