In 2005, she received the SCU student-run Multicultural Center’s Faculty/Staff of the Year Award. She was nominated for Santa Clara University’s Inclusive Excellence Award in 2010. Originally publishing in the area of media use, over the years her interests have shifted into diversity, representation, identity, and visual communication.
