Critical Gender Studies Research Initiative

In keeping with the SCU mission to promote social justice, the Critical Gender Studies Research Initiative supports faculty research programs that address gender as it intersects with other social categories, such as disability, sexuality, race, class, and age. This interdisciplinary effort spans the humanities, social sciences, business, religious studies, ethics, and law. We sponsor programs to inspire, support, and disseminate research that addresses systematic and structural inequities that are linked to gendered beliefs, practices, and environments. By sustaining a community of scholars and fostering research, we seek to expand the possibilities for understanding gender in ways that promote equity, diversity, and social change.
