Apply NOW for Baja course 2019!
Students who wish to enroll in ENVS 144/BIOL 144, Natural History of Baja California, must apply for consideration by October 19th at noon. The application can be found here; applicants will receive notice of their admission to the course by October 26th.
This course is open to all majors. Flexibility, good cheer, and a willingness to learn about natural history in a wilderness setting are the only prerequisites.
Students admitted to the course will enroll in either ENVS 144 (L+L) or BIOL 144, which counts as a non-lab course in the Biology major. Lectures will occur twice-weekly in Winter quarter, and students will embark on a 10-day camping and kayaking expedition in Baja California Sur and the Sea of Cortez during spring break 2019.
Questions about the course can be directed to the instructor, Virginia Matzek, vmatzek@scu.edu. There will also be an information session on Thursday, October 4 at 5:30 pm in LC005.
