Apply NOW for Baja course 2019!

ENVS/BIOL 144, Natural History of Baja, is a unique course featuring a 10-day camping and kayaking expedition to Baja California and the Sea of Cortez.
Students who wish to enroll in ENVS 144/BIOL 144, Natural History of Baja California, must apply for consideration by October 19th at noon. The application can be found here; applicants will receive notice of their admission to the course by October 26th.
 
This course is open to all majors. Flexibility, good cheer, and a willingness to learn about natural history in a wilderness setting are the only prerequisites.
 
Students admitted to the course will enroll in either ENVS 144 (L+L) or BIOL 144, which counts as a non-lab course in the Biology major. Lectures will occur twice-weekly in Winter quarter, and students will embark on a 10-day camping and kayaking expedition in Baja California Sur and the Sea of Cortez during spring break 2019.

There are fees associated with this course of $1600 plus airfare. The ESS department and the College of Arts and Sciences are able to offer a limited amount of financial support to students who need it; students who wish to request this support can do so on the application form. [Financial need will not affect admission to the course.]
