Military Science Instructor

Staff Sergeant Smith was born and raised in California. She enlisted into the United States Army on 7 October 2003. She attended One Station Unit Training and was awarded MOS 42A10 at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Staff Sergeants Smith assignments include 577th Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; HHC 1ST Support Battalion, Sinai, EG; 723rd Ordinance Detachment , Fort Gillem, GA; United States European Command (EUCOM), Stuttgart, GM; 43RD Sustainment BDE, Fort Carson, CO; G1 and Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA), Fort Sill, OK; HHD 36TH Signal Battalion, Daegu, KS and AROTC Santa Clara University.

Staff Sergeant Smith has held various leadership positions throughout her military career they include, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Joint Operations Sergeant, Quick Reaction Force Sergeant, and Battalion S1 Officer in Charge (OIC) and Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC). She currently serves as a Military Science Instructor for Santa Clara University Bronco Battalion that hosts the AROTC Programs for Stanford University, San Jose State University and the University of California Santa Cruz.

Staff Sergeant Smith’s military include Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Foundation Course, Joint Operation Planning and Execution Course, Army Linguist (Spanish) and Combat Lifesavers Course, Basic Instructor Course, Unit Prevention Leaders Course.
