Master Sergeant Jackson is a native of Virginia and enlisted in the Army in May 2001 as a Cannon Crew Member. He attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Sill Oklahoma.

Master Sergeant Jackson’s leadership positions and assignments include Gunner, Ammunition Team Chief, and Command Driver for the 10TH Mountain Division Commanding General, 2-15 Field Artillery, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Section Chief, and Gunnery Sergeant, 1-76 Field Artillery, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Drill Sergeant, and Senior Drill Sergeant, 2-54 Infantry Fort Benning, Georgia. Platoon Sergeant, and Master Gunner, 4-1 Field Artillery, 1st Armored Division Fort Bliss Texas. Lightning Academy (Light Fighter School) Senior Combatives/Master Fitness Trainer, Platoon Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant Major, 3-7 Field Artillery, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. First Sergeant, and Command Sergeant Major (Ready Detachment), 2-3 Field Artillery, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. Master Sergeant Jackson is a graduate of the Basic Leader’s Course, Advanced Leader’s Course, Senior Leader’s Course, First Sergeant Course, Drill Sergeant Course, Sling Load Inspector Course, Rappel Master Course, Master Fitness Course, Jungle School, Squad Designated Marksmanship Course, Air Assault Course, Comabatives Levels 1,2,3, and 4, Master Combatives Course, and various other military schools.

He has deployed multiple times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq, and Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. His latest deployment was in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, Syria.

His awards include the Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device, the Bronze Star Medal (2nd award),

the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), the Army Commendation Medal (4th award), the Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 3), the Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, Jungle Tab, and the Drill Sergeant Badge.
