Veteran's Day 2015

The Bronco Battalion participated in several events in support of Veterans Day.

  • Lt. Col. Tiedeman was a speaker for the ceremony, and 18 Cadets participated as road guards for the parade in Downtown San Jose, alongside dignitaries from San Jose and Santa Clara County.
  • The Battalion laid a wreath at Santa Clara University Veterans Plaza, followed by a presentation of the Colors, by the Santa Clara Army ROTC Color Guard. Christopher Iliff '16 (Political Science), Cadet Battalion Commander, made remarks alongside Senior Military Science Instructor and Master Sergeant Amin Henriquez, as they honored the heroism and sacrifices of our nation's Veterans.
  • At Santa Clara Memorial Park, the SCU Army ROTC Color Guard participated in a wreath dedication ceremony alongside dignitaries from the cities of Santa Clara, San Jose, and Santa Clara County.
  • Master Sergeant Henriquez also attended a ceremony at the Tesla plant in Fremont. Major General Nick Tooliatos '80, J.D. '83 served as the Army representative to sign an agreement between Tesla and the Partnership for Army Youth Success (PAYS) program. This initiative will assist ROTC cadets in obtaining internships and interviews for future civilian employment.
