Lower Division Core (42 Units)
MUSC 1 Theory I 4 units
MUSC 1A Musicianship I 4 units
MUSC 2 Theory II 4 units
MUSC 2A Musicianship II 4 units
MUSC 3 Theory III 4 units
MUSC 3A Musicianship III 4 units
Choose two (2) from Intro to Listening series 8 units
Private Instruction 3 units
MUSC 16/116 Music at Noon 1 unit
Performance Ensemble 6 units
Upper Division (39 Units)
Six (6) upper-division electives (at least one (1) from Ethnomusicology/Music History) 30 units

At least one course (lower or upper division) must be an Electronic Music course.

Requirements for the Minor in Music

Two Music Theory courses 8 units
Two Musicianship courses 8 units
Choose two (2) from Intro to Listening series 8 units

Choose one (1) from:

  • MUSC 3 Music Theory III; or
  • MUSC 3A Musicianship III; or
  • One (1) upper-division elective
4-5 units
One upper-division elective from Ethnomusicology / Music History 5 units
