Having given concerts in the U.S. and Canada, classical guitarist Michael Braun is an avid promoter of the classical guitar and has collaborated with various chamber ensembles. Originally from Winnipeg, Mr. Braun enjoyed a full teaching studio for a number of years before making the move to San Francisco to further his education. A graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Michael studied with Marc Teicholz as well as with Sergio Assad, David Tanenbaum, and Richard Savino. He has been selected to play in numerous master classes, most notably with Manuel Barrueco, Sergio Assad, the LAGQ, Fabio Zanon, and Raphaella Smits.
Mr. Braun currently resides in San Jose where he maintains a full private studio and is on faculty at Santa Clara University.
