Matt Lesenyie specializes in voter behavior. His research interests include how campaign finance disclosures influence voters’ acceptance of political advertisements and how reformers can improve these regulations. To answer these questions, he edits campaign ads for use in his randomized experiments.

Lesenyie teaches courses in California Politics, Racial Politics, Interest Groups, and Political Communication.

Lesenyie has extensive experience in state politics having worked for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and State Assembly Chief Clerk E. Dotson Wilson, as well as at the lobbying firm Nielsen Merksamer.
