Valeriote Goldman Symposium

The Valeriote Goldman Symposium on Public Health and Social Justice aims to build multi-disciplinary education, dialogue, and student training on public health topics that can serve as a call to action on topics of broad social relevance and to support society’s most marginalized communities to live healthier and more productive lives. The goals of the Symposium are for speakers to educate and inform audiences, inspiring active student engagement as well as professional development experiences working for positive social change.

The Symposium also provides full financial support for Student Interns to spend two months working at organizations addressing the topic of the symposium, so there are opportunities to bring in public health student support for interested organizations who have specific learning opportunities and work needs on the topic. We have also helped fund students to participate in the Casa de la Solidaridad Program in El Salvador.
