Faith Formation

Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat what they produce...multiply there and do not decrease. But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare, you will find your welfare.

Jeremiah 29:5-7

Build. Plant. Grow. is a faith formation program for people of any age who build, plant, and grow the word in their lives. It is especially for use in schools and parishes as children break open the word each week.

In our weekly lesson plans we follow threads that pass through the Sunday readings, suggesting how we might live our daily lives as Christians at our best. After discussing the First Reading and the Gospel in the Catholic lectionary, we move to an engaging children's story that follows a complementary line of thought.

Activities, a case study and a closing prayer complete the lesson. Friends are welcome to adapt the lessons for their use across settings and faith traditions.

What People are Saying

Besides providing a fresh approach to breaking open the readings with children, for the director of religious education, Build. Plant. Grow. is easy to access, to understand, and to use.
