WINTER 2021

Dear members of the Santa Clara Community,

Blessings to all at the beginning of this winter quarter!  As we recover from the unsettling events of last week and continue to deal with the restrictions needed to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, know that Campus Ministry is available to support you through our various programs and the possibility of individual conversations as well.

We offer you this newsletter to let you know some of the many offerings planned for this quarter.  You can always check the “Get Connected” website to find these and other offerings! We welcome you to reach out for a conversation; to contact any of us, click on the scheduling links in our bios

In the fall we crafted a new Values Statement and Commitment to Anti-Racism. We invite you to read the full statement on our website. This winter we will focus more intently on our value of Discernment. We hope to join you on your own journeys of transformation, and invite you to help shape ours.

Best wishes to all!

Fr. Dennis Smolarski, SJ

Director

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: January 18-25, 2021

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in 2021 was prepared by the Monastic Community of Grandchamp, with the theme, “Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit.” Based on John 15:1-17, the theme expresses Grandchamp Community’s vocation to prayer, reconciliation and unity in the church and the human family. We share the desire to deepen in prayer, reconciliation and unity at SCU, especially around the focus of authentically becoming an Anti-Racist campus.

This week also coincides with the #SpiritualWellness week of the Winter of Wellness. Be sure to follow the campaign on @BeWellBroncos to nurture your self-care all quarter long! #ScuWow

Ask Us Anything: Christianity Edition

Ever have a big, challenging question about Christianity—beliefs, practices, whatever—you were too afraid to ask or didn't have anyone to ask? Week 3 is your chance! How beautiful for all of us to learn together!

Week 2: Submit your questions: bit.ly/christianityQs!
