Retreats

Stepping away from the patterns of daily life creates the space and time for reflection and growth in your spiritual journey.

Campus Ministry invites the university community to participate in a variety of retreat experiences throughout the year. Each retreat has a unique focus, ranging from contemplation and discernment to fellowship.

Begin your SCU journey by joining us for this Fall's First Year Retreat! The 2018 First Year Retreat will be held October 19-20, 2018 in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This one night/ two day retreat is a great opportunity to connect with yourself and meet others from campus (and outside your RLC) while fostering a community that will nourish you at the outset of your time at Santa Clara. This retreat invites retreatants and leaders to reflect on three foundational themes:

Student leaders partner with various Campus Ministers to give talks, lead discussions, and facilitate practices that help retreatants explore these themes in their own lives.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding and my entire will,
All I have and call my own.
You have given all to me.
To you, Lord, I return it.
Everything is yours; do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace.
That is enough for me.
