Director of Graduate Student Ministry
Hello! I'm the Campus Minister for Graduate Students, which means I have the privilege of connecting grad students in all programs with Campus Ministry offerings, as well as supervising the Spirituality Facilitator team.
I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My friends and family on the Gulf Coast have a special place in my heart from here on the West Coast. I studied Theology at Spring Hill College, a Jesuit school in Mobile, Alabama. Go Badgers!
After college, I worked for a year as an Americorps intern in Cincinnati, OH, facilitating retreats for teenagers at the Milford Spiritual Center. Before coming to SCU, I attended the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley and received a Master of Divinity degree. It is a delight now to provide outreach to current JST students and make periodic trips back to "Holy Hill" in the GTU.
During my first eight years at SCU, I coordinated the retreat program in campus ministry. I experienced many a wondrous, prayerful and memorable moment on the Silent and Ignatian Retreats, much discernment on DISCOVER retreats, and a Sweet Sixteen set of Search retreats with all the amazing student leaders I was so lucky to collaborate with along the way.
I also spent several years serving as a Resident Minister (the previous name for "Spirituality Facilitators") on campus and it is my joy to reconnect with the RLC program and support the spiritual journeys of our campus residents. I am excited about exploring the religious and spiritual diversity at Santa Clara and making sure that people pursuing all spiritual paths find voice and support. Feel free to stop by my office to chat about what's on your mind.
