As the Associate Director for Campus Ministry, I have the great privilege of working with the various Campus Ministry staff and interns to sustain, deepen, and expand the opportunities for spirituality, especially Ignatian Spirituality, to flourish in our community. What excites me most about ministry is the possibility of partnership; my "three C's" would be Community, Connection and Creativity. I assist with staff and professional development, publicity and outreach, and lots of those "other duties as assigned."

I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and return to the Gulf Coast a couple times each year to stay connected with my beloved family and friends. I studied Theology at one of the smallest Jesuit Schools: Spring Hill College, in Mobile, Alabama. (Go Badgers!)

After college, I worked for a year as an Americorps intern in Cincinnati, Ohio, facilitating retreats for teenagers at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford. I received my Master of Divinity degree from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in Berkeley. It is a delight now to provide outreach to current JST students and make periodic trips back to "Holy Hill" in the GTU.

During my first 8 years at SCU, I coordinated the retreat program in campus ministry. I experienced many a wondrous, prayerful and memorable moment on the Silent and Ignatian Retreats, much discernment on DISCOVER retreats, and a Sweet Sixteen set of Search retreats with all the amazing student leaders I was so lucky to collaborate with along the way. I also spent several years serving as a Resident Minister (the previous name for "Spirituality Facilitators") on campus and then had the privilege to direct that program, as well as provide outreach to graduate and law students on behalf of Campus Ministry, for 4.5 years.

Though a lifelong Catholic, I am passionate about being a point of connection for those of other religious traditions, as well as those who are not religious at all. I also have profound compassion for those who are struggling with what it means to be Catholic now and happy to be a listening ear and spiritual companion. Feel free to stop by my office to chat about what's on your mind.

I live in Santa Clara with my husband, Lewis, mother-in-law, Mama Lucy, and our dog, Old Man Will, who is a massive German Shepherd and delightfully crotchety and sweet old dude.
