Bag Check Policy

Santa Clara University is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all those attending Commencement Weekend. Heightened security demands all bags be subject to search upon entry into Bellomy Field, Locatelli Center, and Stevens Stadium. By entering these venues, you consent to such searches and waive any related claims that you may have. To facilitate entry and avoid additional screening, we respectfully request that attendees adhere to the allowed and prohibited items list. The bag check policy applies to the Commencement Liturgy, Graduate Commencement, Undergraduate Commencement, and Graduation Picnic.

While no outside food or beverage is allowed, hydration stations are available throughout Stevens Stadium. We encourage guests to bring one (1) empty water bottle no larger than one (1)-liter. Personal bottles must be completely empty upon entering each facility. Graduates will have a sealed bottled water under their seats. Concessions will sell food and beverage at the north end of the stadium on Saturday.

Bag check lockers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for any bags or items not approved to bring inside Stevens Stadium or Bellomy Field. Any items posing a safety threat are subject to search. The north station is located outside the entrance to the Main Parking Structure. The south station is located between Locatelli Center and the Leavey Parking Lot. On Friday, June 15th, only the north station is open 3:30 - 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, June 16th, both locations are open 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Remaining possessions left at closing will be confiscated.

To avoid considerable delay, we encourage guests to arrive before graduates process into Stevens Stadium promptly at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. See the schedule of events for both Friday and Saturday for gate opening times.
