CAPS offers a series of groups every quarter. If you see a group you are interested in, call (408) 554-4501 and ask to schedule an appointment to meet with the facilitator of that group. You will be scheduled a 30-minute pre-group interview meeting where you will learn more about the group and decide with the facilitator if this group is the best fit for you.
CAPS Therapy Groups:
Groups are confidential, generally 6-8 weeks long, and meet with the same members each week. There are no charges or session limits for CAPS groups. Inquire about group times with the front desk staff or your CAPS therapist. Groups with sufficient interest will be offered. Below is a list of groups we have offered in the past.
Understanding Yourself & Others:
A weekly group at CAPS that may be a good fit for anyone struggling with anything from feeling isolated or out of place to minor depression or anxiety issues. It is especially well-suited for those interested in learning more about their relationship patterns, how to become more effective in interacting with others, and how to build deeper and more meaningful relationships
This group will teach students how to overcome conflicts with their bodies so they can lead a happier, more productive lives. Group members will learn the five essential skills to promote a healthy, confident relationship with our bodies. When students become proficient at using these skills, they are able to care for their bodies, minds, and spirits from a place of self-love and appreciation. This group welcomes people diverse in all ways.
