The Cowell Center has a limited in-house pharmacy. Most of the medications dispensed at Cowell are inexpensive because of the center’s nonprofit status. Charges for medications are generally billed to the student’s account, but cash and student flex are also accepted.
Students may request a receipt from Cowell for insurance purposes.
Some of the Cowell Center medications include:
- Allergy and asthma medications
- Antibiotics
- Anti-Inflammatory medications (NSAIDS)
- Cough and cold medications
- Topical rash treatments
- Nausea/vomiting medications
- Immunizations and travel medications
Over the counter acetaminophen/ibuprofen and cold medications are available without an appointment
The Safeway grocery store next to SCU does not have a Pharmacy, but it does carry over the counter medications.
Savco is a local pharmacy which offers free delivery to the Cowell Center. Students must call Savco and set up an account to use their pharmacy. Savco pharmacy information is below along with other nearby pharmacies.
