While we shelter in place to stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still ways to engage in SCU programming virtually wherever you may be around the world. Check out the calendar of events and activities below.

Class of 2020 Digital Book

Create a page in the SCU Class of 2020 Digital Book! This is an easy and fun way to share your favorite memories at SCU, photos, plans for the future, and ways to stay in contact with classmates. Brought to you by the Alumni Association, it is web-based and just for the Class of 2020 (use your scu.edu email to access).

Life After SCU: Senior Programming

Life After SCU, a longstanding tradition for the senior class, is a series of events that help prepare seniors for the next exciting life chapter as SCU alumni and provides a great opportunity to bond as a class. This year's lineup for the Class of 2020:

Enjoy a virtual craft beer tasting and learn the ins and outs of tasting beer, the brewing process, and the brewing industry. Our virtual hoppy hour and tasting will be led by alumni industry experts including Patrick Rue ’03 (founder of The Bruery), Justin Beck ’95 (VP of Finance, Pabst Brewing), Chris Furnari ’08 (beer writer and partner at Bay Area Draft), and Taylor Thorn ’08 (founder of Bay Area Draft).

Take your cooking skills to a whole new level at Life After SCU: BBQ Basics. Lloyd Grant ’86 will lead a discussion on meat selection, sauce, fire management, barbecuing techniques & tips, and presentation. Lenore Grant ’86 will also be teaching how to cook for vegetarians at your next cookout!

Join Nick Der ’14, to talk about all things related to money and finance after graduating SCU. As a financial coach who works with Olympic athletes, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and traditional W-2 employees, Nick’s speciality is in transforming peoples’ relationship to money. This will be Nick’s 4th time in a row returning to speak to SCU seniors so you can expect an engaging and value-packed session that will leave you feeling more in control with your finances.
