Proposals

The de Saisset Museum welcomes artists, curators, individuals, and organizations to submit proposals for consideration for future exhibitions. Proposals may pertain to a specific exhibition idea or may seek consideration for inclusion in a future group show. Proposals are reviewed by de Saisset Museum staff once annually between June and August.

Please email proposal materials to desaissetmuseum@scu.edu

If you submit a proposal, please keep in mind:

- Our exhibition calendar is planned several years out. As such, if you are proposing something to happen in the next 2 years it is unlikely we will be able to consider your idea.

- Our exhibitions look to focus on California art and history, and California artists, though exceptions are made when exhibitions allow us to address the items in the next point:

- We look for exhibitions that highlight the diversity of our community, address issues of contemporary society, showcase the work of under-recognized artists, and exhibitions that emphasize the strengths of our permanent collection.  We are interested in themes around social justice and diversity. We also take into consideration exhibitions that may serve as an additional resource / teaching tool for SCU faculty, staff, and students across departments.
