ExCEL, Excellence in Catholic Education and Leadership, supports the development of Catholic school teachers. The program is a partnership between SCU's School of Education and Counseling Psychology and the Diocese of San Jose. The ExCEL financial model sustainably covers the costs of graduate school tuition, transportation, and basic living expenses. Donor funding is critical to support students to become Catholic school teachers. $20,000 will fund a teacher for one year. The Sobrato Family Foundation will match gifts and pledges on a 1:1 basis made between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2018.
