The Anita Goble Endowed Education Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for Master's degree students pursuing research with any full-time faculty member. Recipients should demonstrate good academic standing and financial need. Preference will be given to Teacher Education candidates.
Learn a little more about Anita Goble
This scholarship was established by Anita Goble and her daughter, Dr. Cheryl Bown, a senior lecturer in Santa Clara University's Department of Education. Dr. Bowen earned an EdD in international and multicultural education, with an emphasis in second language acquisition from the University of San Francisco in 2005, and a MA in Language and Literacy from San Jose State University in 2001.
Ms. Goble taught in the Cambrian School District and Oak Grove Elementary School District in San Jose for 16 years. Additionally, she has been involved with several ministries to young people and women in her church community, along with traveling nationally and internationally with "Ambassadors for Christ." In May 2021, Ms. Goble celebrated her 90th birthday!
