ACADEMY OF CHURCH LEADERSHIP

 

The Academy of Church Leadership (ACL) is offered in cooperation with surrounding diocese, including the Diocese of San Jose, to priests, deacons, and other church leaders The 3 year program is designed to introduce modern business management tools for use in the parish, and provides a variety of class sessions and cohort collaborations, private consultations, staff support sessions, technology training, and more. The program is tailored to the personal parish reality of each participant, allowing for unique problem solving opportunities in specific, lived contexts.

CATHOLIC STANDARDS FOR EXCELLENCE TRAINING

 


On April 21st - 22nd, 2016, The Academy of Church Leadership sponsored The National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management, in partnership with its licensor - the Standards for Excellence Institute - to train key leaders within dioceses, religious communities, and networks of Catholic nonprofits as consultants in the Catholic Standards for Excellence.

The consultant training took place at SCU and was an exclusive, professional development initiative that provided pastoral leaders with the knowledge, tools, resources, and support necessary to implement best management practices in parishes, schools, and nonprofits.
