Joanne Pasternack is the director of the 49ers Foundation and of community relations for the San Francisco 49ers. In this role, she oversees all community relations functions for the team: working with the NFL, nonprofit, and corporate partners; managing publicity and media; organizing and supervising game day and training camp events, youth football programs, and all player, coach, ownership, and staff community service activities.
Pasternack is on the advisory board of the Dream Foundation (a wish-granting organization for adults), and on the board of directors of the 49ers Academy. Prior to joining the 49ers in 2008, she served as a senior analyst for the city of Mountain View, working for the city manager and the police chief. While there, she founded and directed the Mountain View Police Activities League and was a public information officer, delivering critical and sensitive information to media and the public.
Pasternack has degrees in psychology and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Santa Clara University.
