Faculty and students conduct research projects funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the US Department of Energy, the US Geological Survey, the US Air Force, the US Navy, as well as industrial sponsors such as Lockheed-Martin, Intel, Nike, and BMW.
