Lee, Hohyun

Biography

Dr. Hohyun Lee joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Santa Clara University after he received his Ph.D. degree at MIT in 2009. Since then, he has explored energy and heat transfer phenomena at multiple scales, and published numerous articles in prestigious journals. His expertise includes nanoscale charge and energy transport; thermal properties engineering and characterization; control of grid-interactive buildings via IoT; and energy harvesting and storage. He has served as a chair of the department since 2021 and serve at professional society as chair of advanced energy system division and technical committees at ASME as well as associate editor for Journal of Energy Resources and Technology.
