Margarita (Maggie) Levantovskaya received her PhD in Literature from UC San Diego in 2013. She joined SCU after spending two years at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and a year at Lafayette College. Some of her many teaching interests include new media and technology, graphic novels, US immigration literature and film. Her research interests are in contemporary fiction, diaspora identities, and pop culture. She has published in the journal Slavic Review and has forthcoming articles in East European Jewish Affairs and Comparative Literature.
