Michael M. Shea, Sr. founded Shea & Shea in 1966. He represents injured victims and their families in a wide range of complex catastrophic injury cases and is licensed to practice in state and federal courts.
Shea is admitted to practice in California; Washington; the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Shea is a certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a civil trial specialist and has served as a faculty member at the Stanford University School of Law. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys of California, is past president of the Santa Clara Trial Lawyers Association, and is a member of the National Trial Board of Trial Advocacy and the American Association for Justice. He also serves as Judge Pro Tempore for the Superior Court of California, Santa Clara County.
Shea received his B.S. in Political Science and Philosophy from Santa Clara University in 1959, and his J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1965.
