Bioethics Program Manager
As the bioethics program manager, Anna Kozas manages the Center’s bioethics activities and research projects. She administers the Health Care Ethics Internship Program, which brings SCU students into local hospitals and other health care settings. As part of that role, Kozas manages clinical rotations and develops new internship placements. In addition, she provides research support for the director of bioethics and helps direct the Center’s Honzel Fellow in Health Care Ethics.
Kozas completed a Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Health Psychology from SCU’s School of Education and Counseling Psychology. She also completed her undergraduate education at SCU, with bachelor’s degrees in management and psychology. During her senior year she was herself a participant in the Health Care Ethics Internship, and the following year was awarded the Honzel Fellowship in Health Care Ethics.
Kozas was the 2008-09 winner of the University's Markkula Prize, which honors a graduating senior who has done the most outstanding work in applied ethics over the course of his or her college career. She was also a communications intern for ALSAC/St. Jude's Research Hospital.
