Bioethics Program Coordinator
As the bioethics program coordinator, Anna Kozas coordinates the Center’s bioethics activities and research projects. She administers the Health Care Ethics Internship Program, which brings SCU students into local hospitals and other health care settings, in addition to providing research support for the director of bioethics.
Kozas graduated from SCU with bachelor’s degrees in management and psychology and during her senior year was herself a participant in the Health Care Ethics Internship. The following year, she was awarded the Honzel Fellowship in Health Care Ethics. As the Honzel Fellow, she assisted the director of the internship, served as a peer mentor to students in the program, and developed an ethics project. Currently she is pursuing a Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Health Psychology from SCU’s School of Education and Counseling Psychology.
Kozas was the 2008-09 winner of the University's Markkula Prize, which honors a graduating senior who has done the most outstanding work in applied ethics over the course of his or her college career. She was also a communications intern for ALSAC/St. Jude's Research Hospital.
